Christmas ...

Heavens, where has the time gone – it’s almost Xmas again!

I began my Xmas shopping beginning of October and still have a number of gifts to find.

The cattledogs arrive daily and the kids pounce on them as soon as they are brought into the house. All the ‘gifts’ are marked with big crosses with their name alongside the appropriate item, then shown to us with big wide excited smiles and loving eyes, with lots and lots of … “please, pleaseeeeeee write to Santa and ask him…”  I ask you, “What is a Grandma to do?”

This year I’m knitting Xmas gifts for some of my knitterly friends. A few years ago, I promised I would not do this to myself again, but, here I am, happily knitting away, telling myself that I will get everything completed and shipped off in time. I am crazy, but a good crazy. I want to do this. I love knitting and especially knitting for my friends.

Do you know what the biggest problem is knitting for friends? It’s not so much the item, as in a scarf, shawl, cardi, etc, it’s the colour. I know the colours my friends like. But is it the right colour?
How are you doing with your Xmas list?

Christmas? Omigahd, is it that time again already? I haven't even done my Christmas card yet and I try to have that out by Thanksgiving. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!

I love that the kids are enjoying the cattle dogs. LOL!

Thanks for the nudge. I'd better get into high gear!
